Landing
Many items had seen better days and it also contained bedlinen with cartoon images that were no longer age-appropriate for young adults. As a result, we reduced the bedlinen and towelling.
This landing had years, even decades of clutter.
Because all the other areas of the home were fully cluttered up, the clutter began to spread from the bedroom onto the landing area.
Paperwork, clothing, school books, odd socks as well as storage baskets, the lot!
My client didn’t know where to start, was feeling overwhelmed and frustrated as well as working on the family farm and running the home.

This was a decluttering session where my client first day signed up for 3 days – maximum 6-day decluttering program.
Within 3 hours, my client requested that I declutter the entire house. It ended up being a 28-day decluttering program.
The hot press was full of bed linen, towels, working clothes for the farm and miscellaneous items with no systems in place.
Once we did a deep dive declutter on the area, we then removed the laundry and clothing from the landing & other areas in the home. Everything now has its place in the hot press.
This area took us just 2 days to declutter with all the unwanted, unloved & unused items being removed by myself each evening to the local charity shops on behalf of my client and her family.
Kitchen
This was my Galway transformation where I was asked to declutter a semi-detached home of 8 rooms as well as a garden shed and was completed in 5 full days.
This is a beautiful kitchen space but in this house, there was no allocated utility room and as a result, items that should have been in the garden shed like garden furniture, as well as tools as other areas of the home, were cluttered.
My client at the time was minding her ageing parent and spent half of her week staying with her mother as her carer and living out of her car. By the time she would return, the basics were done, food shopping, laundry and catching up with her neighbours it was time to return again to mind her mother.
